1983 Porsche 911sc 3.0 coupe project.

The body is in primer and needs very little bodywork before paint. It is rust free and straight. The chassis has had all glass and rubber removed in preparation for paint. The engine and transmission are out of the car as well.

The engine and transmission have been fully rebuilt and have not been back in the car since so have zero miles on them since rebuild. The engine was torn down to the crank and rebuilt with new main and rod bearings as well as both intermediate shaft bearings. The cam shaft was ground to an “S” profile and then polished along with the rocker arm faces. The rocker arms were all replaced as well as piston ring sets. All cylinders were also honed and lapped. All intake valves were ground while all exhaust valves were replaced along with the guides, seats and springs. All exhaust studs were removed and cylinder heads resurfaced. All piston wrist pins were replaced as was the timing chain and cam chain guides. Both cam hoses were replaced along with the oil pressure sender and oil sender. The pressure plate was resurfaced and a Wevo 915 Streetlite clutch assembly installed. New throw out bearing, fan belt and spark plugs were also installed then topped off with TBO 40 break-in engine oil. the intake system was serviced and a pop-off valve installed in the air box. The engine and fuel injection systems were also re-zinc coated.

The transmission was disassembled cleaned and overhauled. The first, second and third gear syncros were replaced and reassembled with new collared nuts, clevis spring and bell crank bushings. Then topped off with fresh gear oil.

The auction will include receipts for all work described totaling more than $16000.00 for just the engine and transmission.

All gauges were sent to North Hollywood Speedometer & Clock Co for svc and rebuild. Any pointers or lenses with visible wear were replaced or painted. $857.07

The amount of new in box factory parts included in this auction is crazy. Far too many to list but here are a few highlights. New factory windshield. Hard to find rear taillight lenses and assemblies. Call a Porsche center and try to order these. They will laugh at you. New factory flag mirrors with lenses. New factory H4 headlight lenses with bezels. New bumper bellows front and rear. New sun visors and headliner. New rear euro bumperettes. M&K stainless steel exhaust. D-Zug Hexcel rear reflector. All receipts and part numbers included.
parts receipts alone total more than $13232. at retail.

The interior was removed from the car as I was initially going to do a color change. The interior is clean and for the most part in good order. If I was going to complete the vehicle I would certainly have the seats recovered. The dash is recovered in leather which I will collect from the upholstery prior to the end of this auction.

The receipts for this project total over $30,000.00 some of these parts were purchased by me at cost but the retail value of these parts is listed on the receipts.

Considering the way this generation of 911 has gain value as of late this could be an incredible value.
